The Challenger Learning Center of Alaska (CLCAK) is on a mission to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers through immersive STEM education. From simulated space missions to drone training and survival courses, CLCAK offers hands-on learning experiences that prepare students and professionals for real-world challenges.
Despite the impact of their programs, CLCAK's existing website and branding no longer captured the innovation and excitement of their offerings. They needed a modern, user-friendly website and a refreshed logo to better engage students, educators, and industry partners.
CLCAK required a revamped digital presence that would make it easier for visitors to explore their STEM programs but the existing website lacked an intuitive user experience that made it easy to find courses and programs.
We built a website that simplifies the process for students, parents, and educators to explore CLCAK’s programs. The redesigned site features streamlined navigation with clear pathways for different audiences and dynamic content that highlights upcoming events and program opportunities. Furthermore, we created a mobile-friendly design to ensure a seamless experience on any device. High-impact imagery and visual storytelling were integrated to bring the excitement of space missions and hands-on STEM learning to life.
Recognizing that a great mission deserves a great brand, we created an updated logo that encapsulates CLCAK’s focus on space exploration, hands-on learning, and innovation. The new design reflects a sleek, futuristic aesthetic that aligns with CLCAK’s role in cutting-edge STEM education while appealing to both students and industry partners.
The project delivered a fresh, dynamic website that more accurately represents CLCAK’s programs and mission. With a powerful digital presence, the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska inspired more students, expanded its reach, and furthered its mission of preparing future innovators.
The Challenger Learning Center of Alaska shut its doors in November of 2025 when a combination of federal funding cuts and lower community sponsorships forced it to make the difficult decision to end its mission.
