DEMOCRATIZING THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY
Scope of Work
RETURNING CONTROL TO THE CREATOR
Tom “Millo” De Coro had a dream. If artists could control the delivery and monetization of content, they could thrive to pursue their passion without the constraints of media giants and industry executives. Fanstar is a social media platform that allows Creators to independently manage their content, their fanbase, marketing, sales, and even contracts.
STEPPING ON STAGE
In order to make this dream a reality, the team at Fanstar reached out to Divining Point to develop a marketing site that could ignite the excitement of Creators, their fans, and Fanstar’s investors. Their hope was to produce a visually stunning experience that exhibited the dazzle and flash of the entertainment industry while also conveying the unique value proposition of the company’s new technology.
FLASHY, MEET FUNCTIONAL
Working with limited time to delivery and resources, Divining Point quickly engaged in a deep discovery of Fanstar’s technology and complex monetization structure to learn how Creators could harness the power of the application to realize their dreams. We also experimented with layouts and designs to represent the vibrance and excitement of the entertainment industry.
We paired the Fanstar logo colors with a palette of electrifying shapes, patterns and hues to convey the essence of the nightlife. The result is a website that is bursting with energy without the overpowering presence of dense copy. Straightforward. To the point. Full of vitality.
Each section delivers easy to consume information about Fanstar’s proposition: to put control back into the hands of artists and content creators.
A section for featured artists was created, with each Creator page giving just enough information – and a video – to pique curiosity in the budding artists within Fanstar’s application.
With a beautiful website in hand, Fanstar captured the interest of investors with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Their goals and views aligned with Fanstar’s, and a new partnership was formed.
